The first in a series of relocations to facilitate the initial phase of the Richmond Hospital Redevelopment Project, time was of the essence and keeping to the project schedule was of critical importance to prevent delays to subsequent phases.

This multi-use, multi-user space was designed to house both the Hand and Cast Clinics at Richmond General Hospital. The two clinics operate at alternating times, so that they can continue to provide important care.
The clinics were designed to provide out-patient follow-up care such as wound management, casting, splinting, post-operative care for traumatic hand injuries, as well as orthopaedic post-trauma and/or post-operative follow-up care.

A narrow three-month construction window combined with an unstable supply chain and labour shortages posed a challenge, however, our agile team displayed exceptional effort as they adapted to and addressed difficulties to complete the project on schedule.
